Some of the highest prices in Mahopac are found on the north shore of the lake. The owners of one Mahopac property are completing a dream project to build a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed home on a private island within Lake Mahopac. Every summer, the lake is filled with boaters, water skiers and swimmers, reminding observers why Mahopac became so popular nearly 200 years ago.
